COSTUME and SET DESIGN

In this classic story I was responsible for designing the whole scenographic image on stage. In the set design I wanted to modernize and simplify the jungle, because the costumes are so elaborate in texture. The approach to the animals was ‘what would they wear if they wore clothing?’ The Baloo bear wears corduroy, wolfs have denim, and Shere Khan tiger wears harem pants and top with crocheted decoration. In the creation of the snake Kaa, I collaborated with a puppet maker to integrate the puppet in the costume.
